wow more thing 11

I just amazed myself. Although it didn't turn out exactly as I planed it still worked. So you have a few cookbook titles and my link.

Number 11

I've been to Library Thing and had fun trying to list all my cookbooks, but I think It's going to take me a few session to list them all and I want to spend more time getting though the steps here. I still can't figure out how to add a link to my catalog. Maybe before the night is over I will get it.

steps 8 & 9

I'm having a hard time staying on task with this. Wow I didn't know all this stuff was out there! I explored the search tools and I find Topix and Syndic8 the easiest to use. The others just have too much junk in the way. The Topox is great for local news. I'm just not much into pop culture. The other search tools seem to be more music and video for the cool folks. I've collected my RSS feeds. I have found some are more a waste of time than helpful.
Sorry no recipe this time. I need to get caught up from being at the fair. Also it is canning season and I have much to do.

Things 5, 6 & 7

I enjoyed flicker once I got the hang of it. I am technologically challenged. If Maryjane hadn't helped a little I would still be trying to figure out the difference between upload and download. I really don't understand it but I did get it to work. I explored the site pal thing a little. It's interesting that from home I could create my own talking person and put it on my blog or a web site. It's interesting but not enough to get me to spend my limited free time trying to make it work.
Technology does make a lot of thing easier, but it is sometimes a stress for some of us. Why is it that I can only get one microwave to work on defrost setting in our lunch room. Shouldn't they all work about the same. It seems like a little thing but I know older adults who have had to quit using a microwave because the new one they bought is to complicated to learn. I want a new sewing machine but, they just don't straight stitch and zigzag anymore. They have specialized the sewing machine. I need to decide, do I want one for quilting or embroidery or the ability to download (or is it upload) things from the web to put on my creation. I'm so confused I really don't want to go to classes to learn how to use a new machine. Can't I just sit down and sew?
Well I'm sure you all have moments when you wonder if it's all good. One thing I know for sure we can't turn back so like it or not this learning experience is good for us.
